New setups default to the latest model on every provider
New Yolop setups default to gpt-6.1-sol, claude-opus-5-5, muse-spark-1.3 and gemini-3.8-flash; a saved model setting or the -m flag still takes priority.
Coordinators run threads as separate processes
Yolop now uses the Everruns coordination capability: each thread runs as a headless Yolop process in its own worktree and shows on a THREADS board in the TUI.
Code search works on machines without ripgrep
Yolop ships a built-in rg search as yolop utils rg and, when no system ripgrep is found, as an agent tool backed by the same engine as its search tool.
Opt-in apply_patch editing for OpenAI models
The native_edit_tools capability gives OpenAI models in Yolop the Codex apply_patch tool, and every yolop subcommand now has a description and an example.

Memory can be scoped to a repository
The remember, recall and forget tools in Yolop take a global or repository scope, and repository memory is shared across all linked git worktrees.
Config and data directories can be relocated
New --config-dir and --data-dir flags, or YOLOP_CONFIG_DIR and YOLOP_DATA_DIR, move Yolop's global settings and session data without changing HOME.
Local sessions can hand work to each other
The session_coordination capability lets a coordinator Yolop session dispatch durable tasks to opted-in local sessions and wake when they finish.
Profiles can define a whole agent
A Yolop profile can now carry its own capabilities, MCP servers, skills directory and standing instructions, so one profile flag selects an agent with a job.
Extension management moves to the extensions CLI
Model-callable extension management tools are removed from Yolop; install, enable, disable and reload extensions with the yolop extensions command instead.
Set up as a Buzz Desktop harness in one command
The yolop into buzz command writes a custom harness file for Buzz Desktop, so Buzz can start Yolop over ACP without anyone editing harness JSON by hand.
